topscale.ioYOUR ARCHIVE IN 4K
Ready to process

Whole discs and tapes.
Nothing to set up.

Your family archive: home movies, digitised tapes, discs you own. Upload a video, a disc image or a disc folder — we remove the combing on movement, the noise and the blocky squares from compression, split the disc into its individual recordings and hand back finished files with every audio track and chapter.

We never paint in what wasn’t there. Many services “enhance” old footage by inventing detail — and a face on tape quietly becomes someone else’s. We restore only what the recording actually holds: we clean away the noise, we don’t redraw the picture. Your grandmother stays your grandmother.

The service is for material you hold the rights to. We do not break copy protection on discs.

Right now the service runs on invitations, and card payment is still being connected. Write to us — we'll tell you what we can do today. Already invited? Sign in

Archive film from the 1960s, free to use: combing on movement, grain and blocky compression. All of it removed without a single manual setting — the service worked out what was wrong with the footage by itself.

What it is for

Everything in sight, nothing extra.

The process is simple: upload, check, queue, look at the result and choose how long to keep it. No wandering through menus.

The file is checked before any work starts
The result comes first: watch it, download it
The queue is in sight: in progress and done, kept apart
01

Upscaling with AI

We take soft footage to a clean 4K picture. The service picks the approach to match the state of your material.

02

Smoother movement

We add frames between the ones already there, so movement stops stuttering. It shows most on old footage.

03

Cleaning the footage

We remove noise, blocky compression and combing on movement. The service does it itself — no screen full of settings.

04

Storage and timing

The file waits its turn, then gets processed. Source and result are deleted on the deadline you choose.

Workflow

A clearer path from raw upload to final file.

At upload we show a rough price. The exact one is worked out by the server once it measures the file — so the page never promises more than gets done.
01

Upload

Pick a video or a disc folder — we show a rough price straight away.

02

Verify

The server works out frame size, length, volume and the exact price.

03

Process

When the turn comes, processing starts by itself, with nothing for you to do.

04

The finished file

The result can be downloaded, redone, or processed further.

Your footage

It is your archive, not ours.

You choose how long we keep things — from deletion right after processing to 30 days. When the time is up, both the upload and the result are deleted.
You can see which of our staff opened your files: the dashboard keeps a log. We do not hide those moments, we show them to you.
Signing in is confirmed with a code — from an app or by email. A password alone is not enough when a family archive sits behind it.

What we do not do: we do not break copy protection on discs; we do not swap or alter faces, do not add people and do not generate images — we only sharpen what is already in the frame. We do not take pornography, and the service is for adults. Better to know that before you upload a multi-gigabyte image.

What will my footage cost

1,080 credits≈ €10.80 · 12 credits/min

The 1,200 pack covers it — €12.00.

An estimate. The exact price is worked out from your file: for a disc after it is opened, for a video after it is probed. You are charged for what was actually done, and any excess comes back.

Credit packs

1 200 credits≈ 100 minutes of a disc or tape12.00
3 500 credits≈ 292 minutes of a disc or tape32.009%
9 000 credits≈ 750 minutes of a disc or tape78.0013%
25 000 credits≈ 2083 minutes of a disc or tape200.0020%

For example: an hour-long tape is about €7.20 with clean-up, a two-hour disc about €14.40. You can try the first two minutes of a file for free.

Prices exclude tax. Your country's tax is added at checkout — it is calculated and paid by the payment provider, which acts as the merchant of record.

Credits do not expire. As long as your account exists, purchased credits stay on it indefinitely.

Prices are per minute of video. You pay in credits: a credit is a cent, sold in packs, and the bigger the pack the cheaper they get. For discs and tapes the clean-up is already included — without it the price is €0.04 lower. For files, the first two minutes are a free trial piece; the exact price is worked out after upload.

How long it takes

Usually ready within a few hours; when the farm is busy it takes longer — normally still within a day. Progress is visible in your account, and an email arrives when it is done.

What you can upload

Video: MP4, MKV, AVI, MOV, MPG, WMV, WebM, TS, VOB. Whole discs: an ISO or IMG image, a ZIP archive, a VIDEO_TS folder. Tapes must already be digitised — we do not accept physical media.

Common questions

What happens to my original?

Nothing. We work on a copy and hand back a new file; your original is untouched. Keep your own copy — the service is not a storage provider.

Which settings should I pick?

None. You choose the result — Full HD or 4K — and the service works out the rest per file: whether to remove combing, clean noise or take out compression blocks. You pay only for what it actually did.

Are audio tracks, chapters and subtitles kept?

All audio tracks and chapters are kept. Text subtitles are carried over in every processing mode. Picture-based subtitles from discs do not fit into MP4 — they stay in the source.

Can I upload a whole disc?

Yes: an ISO or IMG image, a ZIP archive or a VIDEO_TS folder. The service opens the disc, splits it into its individual recordings and returns the files one by one. Recordings shorter than ten minutes — usually menus and idents — are skipped. Discs with copy protection are not supported.

What if a job fails?

The credits come back to your balance — in the same operation that marks the job failed, so they cannot go missing. If a disc yielded fewer recordings than its table of contents promised, we return the difference too.

When are my files deleted?

After the period you choose in your settings: from immediate deletion to 30 days. Both what you uploaded and what you received are removed. Files in your personal library follow the same period, counted from upload, but never sooner than a day. Deleted files cannot be recovered.

Who can open my footage?

Technically, our staff — as in any service that processes your files. We do not pretend otherwise: such cases are recorded, and you see them in your account in the access log.

Got a stack of discs or tapes?

Start with one file — the first two minutes are free. If you like it, hand over the whole disc.
